All was well until we got nearer to London and then the fun started with the usual stop/starts for all the usual reasons - broken down vehicles on stretches with no hard shoulder, obstructions in the road, congestion, but no mention of animals or pedestrians on the carriageway!
We finally arrived around 40 minutes later than we should have done, parked up right near the exit to the long stay car park at the South Terminal. We checked in to the Hilton without difficulty and started to enjoy one of the usual lovely rooms.
