Day 2: Friday 10 January

After a good night's sleep it was a case of loading up our phones and tablets with BBC downloads of things we may like to watch or listen to while we're away and around 9am we made our way from the hotel along the walkway to the South Terminal.

We got through security without delay and there as no sense of any heightened security in the wake of the events in Iran and we were then off to get some breakfast.

Ordering breakfast on the Wetherspoons app can be a tricky business!

We're ready to go!

England's green and pleasant land
Our flight was one of the smoothest we have ever had and, after the usual immigration queues it was off on the airport shuttle train to the main terminal, pick up our Florida toll pass and rental car and we were soon at the villa.

We learned a tip today.  At the end of the 417, where it joins the I-4 we realised there a was the usual rush hour traffic jam so we turned off right on to World Drive and later took the left turn on to Griffin Road to join the 192 at Reedy Creek.  There was still some residual rush hour traffic on Old Lake Wilson Road, but the I-4 was very slow moving whenever we crossed it, so we think we won on the deal.

We got to the villa at 6.45pm local time and after some unpacking our eyes were starting to droop so we drifted off to bed for the night, knowing that we'd be wide awake again at 4am!

We have the most lovely property managers who look after the villa for us and they always leave us some welcome items ....
