Day 4: Sunday 12 January

We managed to stay in bed for a bit longer this time round and got up around 5.30am local time.  That's 10.30am at home so we are making progress!

After some catching up on the IT front Graeme went for a trot around Burford Circle.  Florida is the loveliest place to do this and I managed to get round Burford Circle four times without getting giddy, running for a total of 8 minutes.

So when did I last run in an athletics context, I asked myself.  Probably when I played 5-a-side football at uni or when I played a little cricket in the mid-1970s, but it's a start.

Then we were off for another early morning jaunt to Walmart while it was quiet to try to either buy or order two upgrade items for the villa.

This is the first upgrade - another IKEA-type job with some DIY construction work to come!

Then it was back in time to see the Watford match, after which our neighbour Larry rang the doorbell for a quick call to invite us out for lunch.  But then we got talking and, an hour later, we all agreed it was time to move on and talk more another day.  We have agreed to go with him and Dottie for lunch tomorrow to a place we haven't been to before and we're looking forward to that as it does come recommended by Sarah which means we will have to go there at some point.

Here's a heads up for Sarah and Catherine and husbands.  You register for these online, collect them as you arrive at the airport, put them on your rear view mirror and drive through the EZPass/SunPass lanes at the toll plazas. You  return them at the end of your stay and they then charge your credit card and you get a discounted rate

And now Man City are doing Watford fans a favour by hammering Aston Villa, so Watford's position - being outside the relegation zone for the first time this season seems secure for now.

After lunch - well who knows, there's time left for a swim and or to replace some of the villa's light bulbs with LEDs.  Now which one will it be?!

In the end it was both, some bulbs replaced and a relaxing session in the Jacuzzi

Evening meal on the pool deck, 7pm and 25C
